What is BOQ-on-Cloud?

BOQ-on-Cloud is our online BoQ or QS consultancy services.

We prepare the Bill of Quantities from your drawings and deliver this on our cloud server. You can view/download the final BoQ, detailed excel calculations, and Bill of Materials, from the cloud.

Step-by-Step Workflow for BOQ-on-Cloud

Check the BOQ fees for your building using the form below. The form will ask building type, number of floors, area of each floor and typical floors

2. Submit Your Enquiry
If the rate is acceptable, either fill the enquiry form or call/WhatsApp +91-7305399950, for representative assistance. Complete the registration, as guided, for you or your company.

3. Check Your RequirementsSee the BoQ Checklist
Review the requirements (like drawings), refer to the checklist provided in the FAQ section.

4. Upload Your Drawings
Upload the required project drawings and details through the form provided on this webpage, and make necessary advance payments.

5. BOQ Preparation
Our team will prepare the BOQ based on your drawings and project requirements.

6. Get Your BOQ on Cloud
We will upload the BOQ to cloud and grant access to your projects for your registered users.

7. Changes or Revisions

Note:

  1. If floor plans are typical, only one floor shall be considered at 100% floor area for fee calculation. Five repetitions will be calculated at 50% and thereafter at 25%
  1. The fees for MEP, HVAC, Firefighting, Landscaping, development works
    and any other items not explicitly given here. The same shall be confirmed before payment of advance amount.
  1. Revisions, Changes, Corrections: Shall be charged at pro-rata on floor
    plan coverage of min 10% and multiples thereof upto 50% of floor area.If more than 50% of details are revised, changed or corrected, it shall be considered as a new plan and corresponding rates shall be applied accordingly.
  1. Incomplete / Missing details : In case of incomplete/missing details, reasonable assumptions shall be made to complete the boq in all aspects. Where entire WBS item such as structural details are missing, BoQ job may not be possible and a refund may be initiated.

1. What is a BoQ?

BoQ (Bill of Quantities) is a document containing the quantities of all measurable work activities in a construction project. A proper BoQ can be help you as a base document for planning, budgeting, scheduling, tracking work progress, vendor billing and payments, scope deviation and its impact on budget, creating change orders, managing fund flow and several other activities required for managing a construction project efficiently. In short, it is the mother document of any kind of construction.

2. Can BoQ reduce cost of a project?

When calculated properly, BoQ forms a good base data from which many project deliverables can be monitored, tracked and controlled to achieve milestones effectively thereby reducing overheads and achieving the desired profitability.

3. What is a BoQ-on-Cloud?

BoQ-on-Cloud is an exclusive service from Agile Civil Engineers. We provide complete detailed BoQ for your projects uploaded on our cloud server. You can access the details and calculations, anytime from the cloud, using our browser.

4. Is BoQ-on-Cloud delivered as Excel files or PDF?

BoQ-on-Cloud is a management data system, which can be accessed through browser. It is organized based on the unique structure of your project. You can download the details as you require on Excel or PDF.

5. What is the difference between a BoQ and BoM?

While BoQ summarises the quantities of measurable works (like brickwork, concrete, steelwork etc.) in a project, the BoM (Bill of Materials) essentially derived from the BoQ and resource utilisation / composition charts provides us the quantities of materials that are going to be consumed for the given quantities of works in the BoQ. BoM shows requirements such as bags of cement, number of bricks, and tonnage of steel bars of different diameters, at different stages of the project.

6. Is the BoM available as part of the BoQ-on-Cloud?

Yes, web interface will give the BoM for any stage of the project.

7. What are the items delivered with the BoQ?

BoQ summary for all the work groups in the given scope.

11. Is Costing included in the BoQ?

No. However, a nominal market rate for each standard schedule item may be provided as a sample for the sake of preliminary project budgeting. Actual costing service may be availed seperately.

14. What are the details / documents required for initiating and completing a BoQ work?

A complete checklist is given below. In order to complete the BoQ without delays, please ensure that all documents are submitted in full and details are correct in all aspects.

15. What is the timeline for completing a BoQ for a building?

The time for completion of BoQ for a regular building plan may be as follows:

Civil warmshell and Finishes             –           1 week

Electrical and Plumbing                     –           1 week each

16. How long will the data be available on the cloud?

It will be available for a period of 6 months from the date of delivery of initial BoQ.
